The Zwieselbachalm lies a piece behind the Schweinfurter Hut, in the middle of the Ötztal mountains. Hiking path:Parking: parking lot Sennhof Niederthai (next to the Information office)Start the hike at parking lot Sennhof in Niederthai. Follow the forest trail along Horlach Brook into Horlachtal, past the mountain huts of Larstigalm, Kleinhorlachalm, Großhorlachalm and Schweinfurter Hütte further to the Zwieselbachalm.Altitude gain: 513Duration: 2,5 hours (up & down 4,5 hours)Return: same route, from the Larstigalm "Bergmahder trail or Grastal trail" possible

The alp with its own dairy and panoramic views, easily reached via the forest trail from the Acherkogelbahn top station in about 30 minutes. Home made butter and cheese. Hot meals throughout the day. Walk from here to the old halfway station in about 35 minutes.

The Braunschweigerhütte (category I) lies on 2759 m in the Ötztaler Alps at the end of the Pitztals. The hut was built in 1892 and was extended in 1932 and 1965. The hut is located on the distant footpath E5. Totally 180 sleeping possibilities.Winter: Storm shelter open!

The hut is located directly on the Gaislachkogl valley run and is an après-ski haunt for winter skiers and close to the panorama trail for hikers and pedestrians. The Sulztalalm is located at an altitude of 1,915 m. From the parking area in Gries the path leads through meadows to the "Vögelasbrücke" at first. Continue the path to Sulztalalm at a slight hikingtrail trough the forest. (Approx. 1,5 h walking time)After a refreshment with good homemade meals you can continue the hike to Ambergerhütte.
